Hello,
I'm new to this. I have 2 KR10 robots coming in a couple of days. We will have KRC4 with KSS 8.3 and RSI 3.3. I want to send out $VEL_ACT every 4 ms via RSI/UDP. Since I don't have it yet, I can't look at any examples that come with the software products. My external computer is Linux based and not Windows based, so I have no .NET software. I only want RSI to send $VEL_ACT out. RSI will receive no control or commands from my external computer.
Questions:
1) Is RSI designed to ONLY send to Windows systems running .NET (I heard this somewhere). If so, does anyone know if there is a .NET communication header at the front of this message from RSI? If so, can someone help me find the definition of this .NET header so that I can implement code to decode it and skip over it to get to the real $VEL_ACT value?
2) Would this message from RSI be in XML?
3) Are there other options for getting $VEL_ACT from RSI without using .NET and XML?
Thanks,
Mike
