Hello,
I'm fairly new to Kuka, so be easy on me. I've got a KRC4 extended controller running 8.3.36 and am using WorkVisual 5.0, current functioning configuration on X44 consists of a EK1100 with the following modules: EL9100 - EL1809 - EL2809 - EL1809 - EL2809 - EL2024 - EL6752 device net master. I'm trying to set up communication with a Beckhoff CX over EtherCAT and am running into some issues when attempting to add a EL6695 EtherCAT bridge (purchased from Beckhoff) to the system.
I've downloaded and imported the Beckhoff XML files and imported them into work visual and can add the EL6695 (primary) to the EK1100 bus but I haven't been able to generate code despite trying a number of different configurations. Each time the build fails with fairly vague error "Failed to build file "Config:\\User\Common\KRC_IO.xml". If I remove the DeviceNet master module from the EK1100 tree, the project will compile. Additionally after installing the EL6695 (with power to it's input) onto the bus inside the KRC4, the EL6752 will not present the normal status indicators (run and middle lamp lit).
I also attempted to put the EL6695 on the CX and add the EL6695 (secondary) in WorkVisual, but was unable to make this work as well (same error).
Is there a known issue with using an EL6695 in conjunction with a EL6752, or am I missing something? I've searched the forum and referenced the Kuka EL6695-1001 manual but it hasn't been of much help.
Thank you
