I purchased an old LR Mate 200i w/ an RJ-2mate controller and was wondering where I can find the software packages for my controller. Im specifically looking for the ethernet option, karel option, and any software updates. Is my best bet to buy an old floppy set off ebay? After I acquire the software, what's the best way to load it onto the device. Will those usb rs232 readers for fanuc cncs work on a fanuc robots? Or can I load the software onto the robot through kfloppy?

When we get old used robots I always call fanuc to get the robot licensed/registered, and get a software burn if need, to our company this way they will support the issues that arise if there are any.
Also I have never personally seen a RJ2 controller capable of Ethernet.

There is a module that adds ethernet capability to the RJ-2 controller. But to use it you need the software option. Do you know the cost of licensing a robot? This one is for personal use, its mostly for me to mess around with in my basement.

It is, I'm planning on getting it working so I can send files to the controller and not have to deal with kfloppy everytime. -

It could cost you thousands of $ to licence and get software. Probably not worth it for a robot in your basement.

I figured, I doubt fanuc offers non-comercial licenses. I'll look into buying the software from a third party, I've seen floppy packs for sale before.
