    Hi,

I am working on a project where I want to set up communication between Visual Components 4.0 (VC 4.0) and a KUKA KR C4 controller using OPC UA. I want to do this by setting up an OPC UA server on the controller and use VC 4.0s OPC UA connectivity feature as a client.

Does anyone have any experience with setting up an OPC UA server on a KUKA KR C4 controller? I am considering using FreeOPCUA, an open source OPC UA library that can be found here: http://freeopcua.github.io/

Google sent me here. Since the question has been asked, KUKA released their official OPC UA Server for KRC 4: https://my.kuka.com/s/product/kuka…S&tab=Functions I do not know the price-tag.

Easiest way is to ask KUKA directly. Pricing usually depends on different things. Number of licences, educational, industrial, ...
