Hi,
I have the collision guard option installed on my robot controller R30iB.
I want to know if it's supposed to work in T2 mode?
In the collision set-up it's enabled and at 100% but does'nt seem to work.
Thanks.
Jonathan

Yes, it is designed to work when jogging mode UNLESS you press SHIFT + RESET! Then it will be disabled until you release the shift key.
Keep in mind the value settings. The lower the number, the less sensitive it is. Meaning if you want it to be more sensitive, you need to increase the value. A value of 100 is right in the middle. The range is from 0-200%. The default is 100%.
I would increase the value and see if it does what you want it to.
Have you set up a proper payload?
Without an accurate payload, collision guard is one step next to worthless.
Good morning,
I have only enter the weigh of the gripper with and without the part. I've not entered the rest of the settings because i did'nt have it.
I have the Payload check option but don't know if it will work with my gripper.
Is it supposed to give an error anywhere the arm is hit or only if the gripper is hit?
Be comprehensive it's my first project with a Robot.
Thanks.
It should work in all modes, with the tooling or the arm. How hard was the collision?
For testing the collision guard i was in jog reduce speed and i 've hit the jonction of the J5 and the arm J4 and after a few moment the controller has gone in an Overload error. I don't remember the code.
So turn the collision detect up from 100% to maybe 150% and also make sure there is a payload entered like pdl suggested.
As far as not remembering the codes, you do not have to remember them. Simply go into your menu's, go to alarms and there is an alarm history that you can check for the code.
