In the past we had a project with KRC 2 connected as Profinet device to a Siemens S7 315 PLC.
I know I had to swap the bytes in the Siemens Plc to receive the correct values.
Now we have a project with KRC4 and Siemens S7 1500 plc.
Will we have to swap the bytes again, or will this not be necessary because it is a S7 1500 PLC, or is there
a configuration option in the Kuka so that you don't have to swap the bytes anymore?

In WorkVisual, there is an option to byte-swap multi-byte signal assignments in the IO-mapping tab.
-
and if that is not good enough, WoV also allows mapping I/O point by point (bit by bit). who knows maybe one day there will be product not using intel or motorola endianness

That'll happen after we get honest politicians, government budgets that make sense, and genetically engineer flying pigs.
-
sigh... if it was OR, flying pigs would be soon enough...

CRISPR will probably get us pigs-with-wings within a decade, just because some genegineer will be trying to make a point. But I figure actually making them fly will take several years longer (not to mention a decade's worth of argument of whether "gliding" like a flying squirrel qualifies for the Guiness record).
That's why I was careful to specify AND rather than OR in my Boolean Logic statement.
