if you are jogging and reach soft limit - just jog away.
if you are trying to run program and complains about soft limit - it means robot would like to go there but it cannot reach the point without violating soft limit (note robot tries to take shortest path). you have two options:
- teach intermediate point
- manually manipulate turn bit for affected axis -

turn bits are essentially a group of 1-bit revolution counters. since single bit can only have value 0 or 1, maximum travel for rotary axis is limited to two revolutions (or for safety, it is trimmed down a bit - soft limits must be within +/- 358deg).
