robot usually has 6 axis. they are named A1, A2 ... A6. robot position can also be represented in Cartesian form (X,Y,Z,A,B,C,S,T).
but sometimes robot may also control additional axes (turn table, positioner, linear slide, etc.). those other servos that are not part of robot arm are called external axes and are referred to as E1, E2, ... E6.
