I m fairly new to Kuka programming (or robotics in general), I was hoping for an information regarding monitoring spaces, on a KRC4 controller.
With Safeoperation, I'm using a monitoring space to detect if the robot tool is working in a specific area or not. I want to use an internal variable to know , in my program, if the tool is in this specific area or not ( Alarm space, to know if the space is violated or not) , but I can't find which internal variable to use.
How can I do that? I already checked the Safeoperation documentation, but I saw no information regarding such a System variable. Since the robot uses a Profisafe interface with a PLC, I could use this PLC to read the profisafe output that contain the state of the monitoring space, and send it back to the robot using Profinet, but it seems a little bit absurde...
