Hi jac
Welcome to the robot forum
Could you be more specific ?
You can treat a .jbi as a txt document, therefore, you can do a manipulate the text inside and for example create an data sheet with the points, etc,etc
Hi, Fabian,
my apologies cause I didn't explain myself clearly.
My question is if there is any command in the Inform language that allows, during the execution of a JOB, to open another file and write data to it.
For example, imagine that I have a job that executes a cycle many times. I have the number of cycles already executed in a variable. I want to create a file (num_cycles.dat, for example) and store in it the number of cycles that have been executed by the robot.
The final goal is to retrieve that file through FTP from an external PC.
As far as I know, there's nothing like that. Maybe Yaskawa has special software.
If you have the option there is SAVEVAR and LOADVAR (along with SAVEJOB and LOADJOB, I think the option is VDE???). The SAVEVAR, saves the variable table as a file, you can then get data from it and do what you like with it.
Many thx, Robodoc,
I have been looking for the SAVEVAR command in the Inform programming manual but it does not appear there. Do you know in what manual I can find that command?
The software option is Visual DCI. The commands are LOADV and SAVEV.
Here is a link to the manual.
