Looking to add a Beckhoff EK1100 along with an EL1809 and EL2809 to my robot controller cabinet (KRC4). I have connected the cat 5 cable between X44 and the EK1100. Link lights at both ends show a physical connection. Power is supplied to the 24V inputs on the EK1100 as well. In Work Visual I have added the extended bus X44 and imported the device definitions available from Beckhoff. From there I have attempted to scan for the Beckhoff devices but they can't be found. I then manually added them which appeared to work. I deployed and the pendant shows "<SYS-X44> Ethercat bus error.". Any suggestions where I am going wrong? I fully expected the scan topology selection to pick up the devices on the bus.
The KRC4 EtherCAT document states the cause as being "The bus error could not be localized" and the remedy as "Reboot the robot controller". This, unfortunately, does not solve the issue.
