What are you going to use the green robot for?

IMTS demo, Maybe I'll see ya there.
but anyway it will be a fence free machine loader, with aria scanner. she will slow down to the 250mm/sec when you get close then stop when you touch her. there are already cycle start buttons on the front and back of her(by the J2 servo motor) from Fanuc.

Looks nice, but this is just a demo right? I was just curious if you are actually cutting parts at all. Our company did a cell for a customer about 6 months ago with a LR Mate, Robodrill, and an Equator as well. The Equator is a pretty awesome gauge, but we learned the hard way that the parts need to be free of chips, coolant, etc. The problem was exacerbated by the fact they use mql that sticks to the part, and then lets the chips stick to it. Slowly the ruby on the end of the probe gets crap built up on it and then eventually errors out when there is enough on it to give bad readings. Then the operators have to go in and clean off the probe, they have just learned to live with the inconvenience. If you have clean parts the Equator is an amazing tool, IMHO. Just wondering what your experience was with it. Also, I was just wondering if the drawers in your parts cabinets open both ways, i.e. the robot can open a drawer to put parts in, and the operator can open it from the other side to remove parts. Our company did a project where they needed drawers that slid both ways and they had a hard time finding cabinets that do that.
