if your KRC4 has built in I/O and X55 connector, you must wire X55 - this is how I/O get powered up. check manuals section on this forum for details

what is your I/O configuration and does it match physical setup. is the KEB topology correct?
open two quarter-turn latches and look inside cabinet. you should see X44 cable going to EK1100, then another cable going from EK1100 to X65 (if you have I/Os in the cabinet). another thing to note is rest of the modules, normally EL1809 and EL2809 for 16/16 setup. for 16/24 setup, you will have EK1100, EL1809, EL2809, EL9xxx (not in configuration) and EL2024. Something like this:

your robot came with documentation... i would recommend to:
1. find DVD labeled parts and docs (it is inside big white paper envelope that says "STOP - only open if you agree with...")
2. use it to find manuals related to your system
3. explore manuals section of this forum
4. only when all of above fails (and you did put in own effort), ask for detailed help
