Hi guys,
We have a Motoman DX100 with a SIA10D at our location. We want to use ComArc III to control the arc height during a TIG welding process.
We know ComArc was designed to be used with MIG/MAG processes monitoring the Current (Amperes) while the robot is weaving, so path and height corrections can be made.
But we want to use it to control the arc height on TIG process.
The main thing is that ComArc III monitors Current for Up/Down and Left/Right corrections, because MIG/MAG processes keep Voltage fixed at a certain value and let the Current vary freely. But TIG processes are the other way around, keeping fixed the Current and letting the Voltage to vary freely. This way, it is necessary to make some changes so ComArc III start monitoring the Voltage and not the Current.
Does anybody have some ideias about how making ComArc to moniton Voltage and not Current?
Somebody told me about working on the Shunt Resistor that might exist inside the ComArc III Box, but I haven't opened it yet. I am doing a general research first.
I dont know if I made my self very clear, but if its too confusion please let me know that I try to put it another way!
Thank you very much, guys!
Thank you very much for the help!!!
