this is my first call for support. I'm new and I'm learning how to program and set up the DeviceNet hardware for my KUKA KR-150-2 with KRC2 ed 2005 equipped for milling with an HSD ES915 Spindle with automatic tool change. I have all hardware set up and working (I'm using Sprutcam Robot); I communicate to the VFD via DeviceNet and I have full control on almost all features I need for my application (still rough but all stuff works). Now I'm refining all the coding and I have been browsing all posts about the CONFIGMON and Variable Overview interface published on this forum and I also have been looking through the many Kuka manuals I have, but I could not find a definitive answer and detailed explanation of how to set this up step by step (for dummies). So forgive me if I ask your support on the Variable Overview set up.
I'm sending back the value of the current speed of the Spindle from the VFD to the KRC via DevicNet. To read it, I'm sending a 16bit signal and this is the variable I have in my config.dat file
SIGNAL HSD_SPEED_IN $IN[41] TO $IN[56] ;Read Speed from TDE 16bit
then in my configmon.ini I coded
Item2=$IN[41] to $IN[56];HSD_SPEED_IN;1;3;20
However, when I let the spindle run and I open the Variable Overview and set the continuous update of the variables value, I do not see any number showing up. I could prove that a value is arriving to the KRC fromm the VFD, so I suppose there is a mistake or something missing in the syntax of the configmon or somewhere else. Could you please help me to set this up? I would really appreciate your support.
