Hello, i have a M70iC robot with a R30iB controller at a customer's location, i found the robot stuck in the boot screen.
i can not get into controlled start or cold start.
All it says is it's trying to load OS from ethernet...
i attached a photo for better reference.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Hello,
Have you checked 7 segment led ?
If the led is ok, I would try to swap the teach pendant cable.
If you have a number on that led then you should continue from there..Edit: I hope you have an image backup or at least an AoA backup because if you change the SRAM/FROM module or main board all your data will be lost.

Do you have an ethernet-cable connected to the controller? If you do - disconnect it and boot up, then connect it again when startup is complete.

For the record
I did on Sunday what luetin said and it worked
I guess the controller doesnt like having a ethernet connection plugged in without having the correct IP -
I tried disconnecting the ethernet, starting it up and reconnecting it and still nothing.
Is there a way to force an INIT start with it stuck in the state it's in right now ? -
No you can't get to the config menu because your pendant is not booting up.
I would start by testing the Teach pendant and then the cable.
I have seen the estop board cause a problem similar to this also. -
Replaced the teach pendant and cable and it booted up normal. All programs and files were still there, nothing else was damaged.
As far as the old pendant, is there a way i can repair it ? or am i screwed ?
For some reason it wants to boot up the OS from ethernet, is there a way i can change that ?
Thanks for the help. You guys rock!! -
The pendant on the RJ3iB is an Ethernet based pendant. So no you can't change it.
You can send your pendant to Fanuc and they can repair it for you. -
It's a R30iB pendant. Does that change anything ?

Sorry I meant R30iB
