S -> ?
L -> Lower Arm
U -> Upper Arm
R -> Roll
B -> Bend
T -> Twist -
Hi, I've always thought of the "S" as "Slew".
Many years ago , RX - L10WA They were designated "S - L - U - T , with B & A ".
Till it was pointed out to Motoman that certain words in English were derogatory -
Hi,
bgarrison said almost everything, 'S' is for 'Swing'

S -> Sation
L -> Lower Arm
U -> Upper Arm
R -> Rotation
B -> Bend
T -> Tool -
S is not for station. That would be S1, S2.... When talking about the robot arm, the axis are S, L, U, R, B, T.
S can be Slew, Swing, Swivel (anything you like)
Why did Motoman do this, just to be different from all the other robot companies that call the arm axis 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Some people don't know that all robot start on the bottom axis. I have had lots of people start counting at the tool and move the wrong axis. With a Motoman robot, the axis are labeled so you know S is S even if it is upside down.
