Hello!
in my KRC2, with the KCP, I just found KUKA-Cross3. I don't know what is KUKA-Cross3? what is it used for?
Can anybody give me some explanation about Cross3?
Thanks in advance!!

The kuka controllers have two Brains "VxWorks OS" for realtime controlling of the robot and "Windows OS" for visualizing. These two layers have to communicate with each other. E.g. Displaying "AXIS_ACT" on the HMI requires asking the realtime OS the current value of $AXIS_ACT. This communication is done via the Cross Interface.

Also, part of this interface also appears in the Windows Network Connections as "VxWin RTACC Shared Memory Driver". It is a "virtual" network connection between the two halves of the robot's brain, and has a fixed IP address of 192.0.1.2. Tampering with this IP will cause the robot to fail to boot properly.
