HI,guys!
I am working with KRC2 ed05 KSS5.6, I have a thought in my mind: when the kcp is defective, and there is no more kcp available at present, if i want to make the robot run normally as usual, so Is it possible to replace the KCP2 with a external monitor and keyboard??
I know there will be canbus communication fault and also ESTOP when KCP2 was removed from KRC.
If it is possible,Does anybody know how to change the wiring??
Thanks in advance,Your suggestion will be much appreciated.

hi, I have already got the answer, thanks!

You need to run the KRCCONFIGURATOR and check the settings under the Archive tab. Multiple path/names can co-exist on the robot, and Archives will be made to all of them if available. The path/name that is check-marked is the default, and that is the one that will be restored from if you perform a Restore.Hi,Skyefire thanks for your explanation.
I have checked the archive setting in KRC configurator, and find there are 2 archive path, one of them is Disk and the path is D:\Mydat\Archive\VW_CS_right.zip.
so, it means that every time when i perform archive in kcp, the newer archived files will overwrite the files in D:\Mydat\Archive\VW_CS_right.zip??
And when i perform restore the files will be released from D:\Mydat\Archive\VW_CS_right.zip to RAM?? -
Hello, everyone!
I am a newbie in kuka robot. I have a question about archive and restore. can anybody explain to me?
my robot controller is KRC2 ed05 . when i do program archive in KCP, I think the current program is saved in D:\Mydat\Archive.
I can also find the archive file in D:\Mydat\History. you can see there are many zip files I have done before in history folder.
So, my question is:
1. A few days later if i will do archive again, will the new archived files overwrite the files in D:\Mydat\Archive?
2.If i want to restore an older program(maybe the program one year ago), How can i do it? Do i need to move the selected zip file from D:\Mydat\History to D:\Mydat\Archive and do restore again? Thanks in advance!

Dear friends, good afternoon.I need to remake KCP2 or X19 cable for KUKA robot.
I have manage to find both connectors ends connector and the cable it self. Also I have test for continuity in all cables to identify its corresponding PIN...All but two of them...PIN A and B.
Any of you have available a cable PINOUT or a cable diagram that could help me solve this issue??
Also...It was impossible to find the cable with the same electrical specs (4 pairs 18 AWG, 4 pairs 22 AWG and 3 pairs 24 AWG), so we decided to make all wires 18 AWG.
Could somebody tell me if this is going to work?? I am worry about cable impedance..
Please advice
Please refer to the diagram.

Hello!
in my KRC2, with the KCP, I just found KUKA-Cross3. I don't know what is KUKA-Cross3? what is it used for?
Can anybody give me some explanation about Cross3?
Thanks in advance!! -
You can boot a KRC2 from a bootable CD. Depending on the BIOS version, you may be able to set the BIOS boot order permanently, or you may have to plug in a keyboard and catch the BIOS startup menu as it flashes by during boot.Once you can get the KRC2 to boot to CD, I've had good luck using basic Linux boot CDs (using dd or ddrescue), and CloneZilla. A sufficiently large USB key should be able to contain the entire hard drive (you want to get both C: and D:), although back in the old days before high-capacity thumb drives I used to plug a portable USB hard drive in. Or if you have a network and remote network share, that'll work too.
SkyeFire, many thanks! I will try it!

Hello, we have a krc2 controller, recently I plan to make a image of HDD of kuka pc.
As i do not have the kuka recovery stick, Is there any ways that i can make the image of HDD?
PS: in my opinion, i decide to pull out the hard disk from KRC and make the image in other pc, but i think it is not convenient.
Anybody have suggestion? -
hello, did you have a correct backup archive file? if so, you can try restoring the correct archive file into your robot. After that, reboot the system and check again!
