I would like to know if there is any way to call a Visual C++ program from a normal robot program.
Any idea or hint?
As always thank you in advance!

Well, the robot's programs run inside of VxWorks, and I don't think you can run Visual Anything on VxWorks.
That having been said, it is possible to run a VB or VC++ program on the Windows side of the robot's brain (well, it was in KRC2, I assume a means exists in KRC4), and allow that program to interact with the KRL interpreter through variables. But actually executing a VC++ program from inside a KRL program? No.
you can have executable (or plugin) on a robot that starts on power-up (like HMI), and checks if there is a change in specific variable (due robot program), then launch your program.
Thank you both, this was what I was imagining, it's clear that I can't call an exe program from my robot code, but I could establish some kind of variable read/write inside an exe that would be running all the time.
Thank you for your comments!
