Is it possible to switch between T1, T2, AUTO or EXT mode without using KCP switch button. As far as I know other functions of KCP can be implemented with CrossComm. What about Mode switcher button and dead man keys? What could be done to implement those buttons? Any ideas?

Is a possible only for VW standart without modify on pendant. However pendant have auto and manuel switch. If robot in Auto mode selector, you can change with E2/E7 switch between Auto and EXT mode. In the manuel selector T1, T2 mode selection with E2/E7 switch. But if you can modify KCP mode selector or ESC cable connection is a possible.

I am sorry but I could not understand. My main target is using a robot without KCP.
Instead using with a keyboard and with a screen monitor connected to VGA on KRC2.The only thing I could not manage is changing AUTO mode, executing a program and changing the mode back.

it is a not possible on standart KRC2. Because if you detach KCP, canbus communication lost and KSS give Canbus communication fault and of course emergency stop connection and mode selector connections dropped. Cable modifications on the ESC board maybe emergency and mode operations a possible, but canbus connection necessary.

It maybe possible with hot swapable pendant as you can disconnect this with out getting an estop error similar to the krc4

In krc4 it's possible. Just don't use the smartpad and connect a screen and a keyboard.
