OK stupid question time.....
Although I've worked with a lot of KRC'S they have all been connected to a PLC and started by EXT.
I've now started a project which includes some KRC's which are basically pick and place systems so there is no need for a PLC, so running them in AUT is the way to go.
Right, time for the stupid bit...
1. How do you start the robots once the safety circuits are made? $DRIVES_ON, $CONF_MESS, $EXT_START as you would in EXT?
2. Acknowledge Operator safety can be set by 'button' or 'eternal input', is button via the SmartPad? I'm thinking of a pushbutton on the cell entrance (X11 5-6 & 23-24) rather than a gate switch as it mentions in the manual.
This system possibly won't have a SmartPad attached at all times.
3. Apart from the Operator Safety are the X11 pins wired the same as EXT? i.e. lots of jumpers! 7-8 & 23-24, 11-12 & 29-30, 13-14 & 31-32
