I am trying to see if I can do foam milling with a Kuka KR 30/2 and KRC-1 cabinet.
My background is in traditional XYZ milling using Mach 3; in that software, you literally jog the tooltip to where you'd like to start, then zero out and go from there.
Can a Kuka robot arm/program do the same thing, or are all of the points in a milling program based on the zero point that was established by mastering all the axes?
I have read some of the posts on the forum dealing with "home position" but I am still not sure of an answer. My arm and cabinet are pretty old, so I'm trying to find out up-front by asking here instead of reading manuals for a month and ultimately failing. Thanks in advance!
