My company recently purchased (2) Refurbished Arcmate 120ib Welding robots from a used robot dealer.
We paid the additional cost to have the robots re-licensed (thru Fanuc) to our company. The robots are welding a fairly large assembly (45" X45"). The assembly contains multiple fabricated metal parts (brake press / laser) and we are seeing some variation in our Fab process due to variations in material thickness, and I'm now looking at using touch sensing and possibly thru arc seam tracking(TASK). The welding power supplies being used are Lincoln Powerwave 455m
I contacted Fanuc Spare Parts and had them quote the two software options, and was shocked at the cost (around $30,000 USD for both robots: 4 PAC codes)
I had Fanuc quote the options based on what I could find on the teach pendant (controlled start / software)
My questions are:
Has anyone used these options and does the above option codes look correct?
Does the pricing sound reasonable?
Any other tips or help are greatly appreciated - thanks
