I'm quite new to the world of industrial robots, and was after some much needed help from anybody who has DirLoader working.
We have a KRC4 controller and have DirLoader on it. I have been given the task of setting it up and getting it to work, which so far has proven to be no easy task.
KUKA UK are unable to offer help as they say none of their engineers know how to use it so we're on our own by the look of things.
I have a few questions about DirLoader. Firstly, is it used just to simplify the moving of files, or is it used to overcome the memory/file limits that can be stored in the controller? The documentation it came with make no reference to it actually RUNNING any programs, just copying and pasting them.
We do a lot of machining of foam/polystyrene etc, can it be used to load all of our .src files in one go if they wouldn't usually all fit on the controller at the same time? For example I would usually load as many programs on as I could, run them all then delete and load the next ones. Will this pull everything I specify as it needs it?
I'm basically looking for a dummies guide to this thing because I just can't get it working, and I'm afraid these large bald patches where I've torn my hair out are starting to look unsightly!
