    Hello all,

I have a new RS007 robot and I am just as new to Kawasaki as this robot! It was easy enough for me to start jogging it however, I keep getting an E1644 vibration control error on all 6 axes. I am pretty sure it's because I haven't performed any initialization such as zero'ing the encoders, setting a payload............ things I am accustomed to having to set on other brand robots. I have done nothing but remove it from the box and plug it in and drive it. I searched online for that specific error code but no hits. Thank you

I have not experienced this error before, but from my information this is down to incorrect payload, inertia and centre of gravity settings:

Nothing to do with zeroing, so please do not start adjusting those values as they are unrelated.

Thank you! Where did you find this error code?

In the troubleshooting manual for F controller (which is common for RS007 arms).

You can obtain all the necessary manuals from the Kawasaki download centre, you just need to sign up:

    Post

    Kawasaki Robotics Download Centre

Kawasaki have created a download centre for Kawasaki clients to have access to the latest revision manuals when they are released.

(Registration and approval is required to sign up to).

Therefore, instead of requesting specific manuals at the forum, I recommend to register at the download centre where manuals and further product information is being made available including downloading of KROSET.

Do YOU prefer using K-ROSET or KTOOLS for programming...........since you obviously have a lot of Kawasaki experience? Thank you

    Quote from kwakisaki

    KRoset.

I have created programs using both and, for what it's worth to you, I agree with you. The only problem I have now is that I don't know how to download the program from K-ROSET to the RC. I assume I still need KR-TERM for that but not sure how.

Sometimes I use KRoset just to produce the exact data I intend to side load.

Sometimes use the IDE within KRoset, but mostly just bash it out through notepad, load into KRoset to check the syntax, test and verify it and then copy it over to KRTerm and transfer to the robot.

    Couldn't be any easier.

No need to debug then as I have already done that in KRoset.

I also use just KRTerm standalone as I have setup many macro's which manage the majority of functions I use when programming or modifying existing data on client sites.

KIDE is an enhancement of KRTerm (as this was developed >20 years ago) but does not have the reach study, cell building or graphical environment that KRoset has.

Each to their own though, it's what you get used to first that usually becomes a preference.
