I have created programs using both and, for what it's worth to you, I agree with you. The only problem I have now is that I don't know how to download the program from K-ROSET to the RC. I assume I still need KR-TERM for that but not sure how.
Do YOU prefer using K-ROSET or KTOOLS for programming...........since you obviously have a lot of Kawasaki experience? Thank you

I have a new RS007 robot and I am just as new to Kawasaki as this robot! It was easy enough for me to start jogging it however, I keep getting an E1644 vibration control error on all 6 axes. I am pretty sure it's because I haven't performed any initialization such as zero'ing the encoders, setting a payload............ things I am accustomed to having to set on other brand robots. I have done nothing but remove it from the box and plug it in and drive it. I searched online for that specific error code but no hits. Thank you
I know this is kind of tough question because the answers are likely vast but............ To those of you that program both Fanuc and Kawasaki Robots, what are the major differences between them, programmatically? For example, Roboguide PR's, Tool Frames, Work Frames, program calls, etc, etc...... are all of these available in K-ROSET? I have just started watching the videos for the Kawasaki as time permits I guess to alleviate some of this anxiety I was hoping to get an idea as to what I am up against. Thank you

Hello. I just purchased an RS007NFF60 and the K-ROSET offline programming tool. I have experience programming Fanuc and ABB Robots but this is my first Kawasaki. My question is, it seems like the K-ROSET isn't a total package, other software needs to be downloaded as well? On a different thread I was graciously given a zip file that had coms programs in it. A video I was watching showed another program I will need called KTOOLS? Should all of these have been on my install disk and maybe I just didn't check them? Thank you

Hello. I just purchased my first Kawasaki Robot and have started watching some tutorial videos on this site. One talks about the software KRTerm which appears to be my coms software between the robot and my laptop? The software I purchased is K-Roset offline programming tool and I can't seem to locate this KRTerm software anywhere. Could someone please tell me where I might locate it? Thank you
you could create a BG Logic program with flags mapped to the UI and UO signals and that BG Logic would act like the master PLC.
Then for each PLC, it is all rack 89, but each connection would be a different slot #, 1-4.
I wouldn't do any UOP directly to the different PLCs in that case but instead block of 4 sections of DI/O. If you need to send the same UO signal to multiple PLCs you can use the flags mentioned before to turn on 4 separate DOs in BG Logic.
Basically flags and BG Logic take the place of your master PLC and each real PLC gets it's own set of Separate DI/O.
I have been playing around with using the robot as opposed to adding additional hardware but I am not sure what exactly you mean by "BG Logic would act like the master PLC". All I want the PLC's in the field to do is provide triggers for when the robot should execute the pick or the place to that machine which are discrete I/O over Ethernet IP.
Are the Axis limits set the same between the real and virtual robots? And are the robot models exactly the same?
Nope, and this was my issue. It was a joint move command with a large Z-plunge. To resolve it I just changed it -200mm so it was very close, just not quite. Thanks
I haven't used ABB Palletizing,
I am not a huge fan of PalletPRO. It's not as versatile as ABB's palletizing PP. That being said, a lot more programming time goes into the ABB vs. Fanuc.......in my humble opinion. I only have one customer with an ABB robot and not many calls to that customer, which is why I am looking for alternative software.

So, it appears as though it would eliminate my need for RobotStudio and palletizing powerpak? I have a small integrator business and don't do enough work on ABB robots to justify the rising annual cost of this software, which has me searching for alternatives or just discontinue all work on ABB robots.

Hello. This question might fall under the "Dumb Question" heading but...... When I talked to a Fanuc tech I believe he told me "How your robot operates in RoboGuide-HandlingPRO is how your real robot will run", but I could have misunderstood him. I have a pick and place that runs perfectly in RoboGuide however, on the actual robot it throws up overlimit A:6 (J2 & J3) alarm. I downloaded my entire program (all files) from RoboGuide to the RC. Hopefully this is enough info to answer my question, if not I can add more. Thank you

I come from a CNC machining background and I am sure there will be a lot of similarities however, I am sure there are many differences as well and the standards will be different also? You can get them from the robot cell, save point folder. Or through FTP.
I'm trying to put them on a thumbdrive and then use UD-1. I was able to do it with other files. I just can't find the DCS files mentioned above, in RG.
I am having trouble locating those files in RG. Is this under Menu>Files? Thank you
You don't need to master the robot when you have a pulse mismatch. Pulse mismatch means the last known position is different. Basically the controller and the robot don't match. This can happen if someone shut the robot off in mid cycle or you loaded a backup sysmast file. Simply reset the PCA set the master done to true. Verify zero by jogging it to zero on the TP
I had just downloaded all files from a new program including system. I wouldn't have trusted this without remastering it.
