Hello everyone!
I need some information please...
Is there a way to take an archived controller .zip file and open it inside of WorkVisual?
Thanks!

Yes, sort of.
The .WVS files of all the Projects present on the robot will be located in the .zip file, under C\KRC\User\ProjectRoot\
You can extract the WVS file and open that with WorkVisual. You will need to make sure you're opening the correct one, though.
Otherwise, you can open individual files from the archive in WoV, but I don't think there's a "load everything" option other than opening the .WVS file.
do not guess...
open archive or extract it to a folder. inside you will see several directories, including Registry.
inside that folder are several registry files. smallest one will have WorkVisual in the name. open it in a text editor. inside you will see name of the active project. that is the one you want.
Hey Panic...
I did as you stated...
Opened the file in PS Pad...
Saw Current Project was listed as R1A v3.7
But when I opened that that file in WorkVisual and drilled down to the I/O listings, I am not seeing the correct name for an INPUT I renamed a week ago?
that is possible and it depends on used software version... on older systems (KSS8.2) WoV project is only one way - push from PC to KRC. if you make the change on the robot and then try to bring it back to PC, you may end up with what you deployed, not the modified version. Kuka was gradually working on this so it took some time (and releases) to get to point where one can get back from the KRC the actual latest versions (including changes that are done though smartPad after project was deployed).
