    Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new on Fanuc Robots so excuse me if my questions are obvious.

I'm facing a problem concerning my DCS configurations on my R2000iC/270F with R30iB controller.

I successfully created CPC Zones and an user model the shape of my tool. Therefore, my tool can't get into the zones.

But i will have to use two differents tools with different geometries so i'll need to create another User model for it.

The problem is that i don't understand how to associate my user models to my tools. I would like to have only the usermodel from tool 1 when i'm using tool 1 and usermodel 2 when i'm using tool 2.

Can someone explain me how to achieve it ?

Thank you for any help !

There exist signals in DCS for selecting user models of tool, you must connect them properly.

You didn't provide any information on which DCS interface you have, f. e. Profinet or hardwired?

I didn't know they were interface for DCS, i though it was only software. Maybe i do but how to figure it out ? There is nothing for DCS in the controller.

You mean that i'm suppose to have an interface on which i hardwire signal to select the tools i'm using ?

    Thanks,

Yes, you need a safe hardware interface for wiring the safe sensor to your safe inputs (safe hardware interface) which will switch your safe tools in DCS config.

    Maybe you should rtfm.
