Hello everyone, I have encountered a problem. The KRC2 shutdown system does not have backup battery power to delay the shutdown time, causing the teaching pendant to black out. The startup system will not freeze and sleep, and it will restart with a cold start. Sometimes, it may even lose zero point. However, the teaching pendant does not indicate that the battery voltage is insufficient, and my battery has just been replaced with a brand new one

it is not one battery... it is two 12V 5Ah SLA type batteries connected in series. both need to be replaced at the same time. and they need to be connected correctly or system will ignore them.
if batteries are indeed good and connected correctly, there is something else that is not working correctly, possibly fuse or KPS600.

Okay, thank you. Both batteries are newly replaced and there is no problem with the connection. Will this have anything to do with RDW? Because this is an old machine, I cannot evaluate it. Zero point occasionally fails and loses, but it does not maintain a slow shutdown every time it is shut down, and the teaching pendant goes black directly

Old robots may have RDC1 which has pretty low endurance flash memory. RDC2 has newer generation memory that lasts longer. But if upon switching off power controller goes off in an instant, data will not be stored even if RDC is good

If there is a problem with the fuse, does the system not prompt an alarm, like KRC4, where the fuse alarm or indicator light is red

Check that the fuse F3 is disconnected and broken. After replacement, the system is waiting to shut down normally, but occasionally the A3 axis zero point is lost after being turned on twice.
