hi everyone, i am using the kuka krc2 robot with external axis. i need to run external axis that it have to be infinitly. so, i looked for some information at this forum. and then i found the some solution for this issue. firstly i set lineer and asynchron. i was succesfully. after, i found the documents from kuka xpert. they tell to me, i can set uncoordinated asynchron external axis and i can use with my button box. for this i need to set $zust_async and $async_ax. finally, i tried this but it was not working. my question is this, how can i uncoordinated external axis ? have to i use sbm module for external axis ?

never seen endless linear axis. even longest linear axis is far from endless. but there is plenty of rotary tables etc that are endless. so if that is not asking too much, could you please share photo of your endless axis?
asynchronous axis can be moved independently of the robot. what you described is jogging but that does not stop on a time. therefore for practical positioning you can also use ASYPTP motion instruction to send the axis to a specific position. there are also ASYSTOP, ASYCANCEL, ASYCONT etc.
