Good afternoon! The MFC 3 standart board is faulty ! There were security errors due to the board, the reason was found out by replacing it with a serviceable one. Can you tell me how to get away from this board for the robot to work, or only by replacing it with a serviceable one?

i am not sure what is it you are asking. of course for robot to be functional it needs functional hardware. defective components need to be replaced with working product. Btw your image shows assembly that includes both MFC and DSE boards. chances are only one of them is defective but getting both may cost the same. both boards have labels with KUKA article numbers which is what one needs to match when looking for replacement. different versions of MFC exist. it is possible use replacement that is a higher version (replace "MFC Standard" with "MFC Technology").

Thanks for the answer! Please tell me do they still exist on sale at Kuka or should I look for them on ebay?

that is something KUKA can answer. as far as i recall KRC2 is nearing its 10 year support limit. even if over, chances are it would still be available for some time.

This may seem silly to you. But I still want to ask. Is it possible to do without this MFC board ?

No. The MFC is literally the brainstem of the robot. It's where all the servo coordination, kinematic calculations, etc take place. All communication between the motherboard and the servo amps, the DSE/RDC, is performed by the MFC.

You have provided me with very good information! Thank you very much!

Good afternoon! In continuation of this topic, I came to an interesting conclusion after conducting an experiment with robots on rearranging the MFC3 board from one robot to another. As a result, both boards turned out to be working. They differ in article numbers. As a result, the question arose whether it is possible to configure the Krc2 ed05 robot cabinet for the mfc3 board under the existing article?
