why does my robot jerk just as its coming down on the arc to start weld?? it does it on my first part and on the second part it doesnt?? identical programs shifted over

Could be any number of things, ranging from mechanical issues to incorrect payload settings. Without knowing relevant details, no one can offer you any concrete advice.
Robot make and model would be the first thing to provide, along with OS version.
Also, define "jerk". Does the robot simply stop for a moment when you want a smooth motion? Or does it actually "twitch" in the wrong direction momentarily?
