Gonna start off by saying I'm new here and just a welder so my knowledge of these robots probably won't be on par with a lot of you you may have to dumb things down lol. Where I work we have two motoman arms that used to weld on the same part at the same time. Now that part has been moved to a new cell and those arms run separate parts in stations next to each other. Right now only one arm can weld at a time because they're still "linked" from when they ran together. Is there any way to unlink them so both arms could weld at the same time?
Unlinking arms?

If this is a dual (two robots with one pendant) you can still have the two robots work on two separate parts. The control of the two parts would all be done in programming. The only problem with this is if one robot gets an alarm the other stops. Dual robot are meant to work on the same part at the same time.
If you want to make it into two separate robots you need to call your Yaskawa rep to buy the parts and have a technician separate them.
