I'm considering buying a Staubli TX60 off ebay and building my own controller. Has anyone tried something like this and has words of wisdom? My main concern right now is that I'm not sure what the specs on the motors are, and haven't been able to find anything in the maintenance docs. Does someone have this model and can share photos of the motor's label?

I suggest building a controller using simotion from siemens, they have libraries to make the path interpolation for articulated robots. I've been using simotion to control gantry robots.

You can have a look here (especially in the comments). The author also build his own controller:

Perfect! That's exactly what I'm looking for.
