hello kwakisaki,
I want to do spot welding with the as program. I downloaded the servo gun manual. But unfortunately I couldn't create the working cycle. Can you help with this. If there is a sample project, it could work much more.
thanks

The only AS instructions I'm aware of are in the Servo instruction manual to use.
As there are many characteristics/parameters associated with actual servo gun operation for weld processes, I would recommend simple NOP usage for welding operation.
NOP is an interpolation mode selection available within the block instruction if enabled.
NOP move is stationary and only activates clamp operation and settings if set.
NOP is a system switch which can be enabled and disabled freely, it is turned off as default.
When used, only the gun axis information (position/clearances, forces etc) are executed.
So this instruction can be considered as your 'servo weld' operation.
You can use NOP in main routines or in subroutines.
thanks
I found this and applied it. and as a result it looks like I did what I wanted. I don't have a welding unit at the moment, but I think the robot's movements will help me.
Hello kwakisaki,
Can I ask you one more question. I have a connection problem with robodk. I cannot send the program directly from the pc. I wonder if you have done such an application before. if you can help
Because you can have many variations for servo gun operation:
- clearances
- tip dressing
- forces
- open and close distances
Personally I think use of NOP is easy to implement and maintain as you don't need to worry about joints 1 - 6 and just welding parameters require setting.
No idea with RoboDK, you would be better to go to the dedicated board here:
thanks
No problem, I've moved your other post to the RoboDK board and hopefully you'll get a response in there.
