Limit switches are optional, they are typically used on Axis 1, 2 or 3, or a combination. They go where you wherever you choose to put them. Used in conjunction with a ring upon which the roller of the switch rides. You would move and/or cut the ring as required to limit the robot motion, stopping it if it comes off the switch.
Can't get much more specific without knowing the robot and controller make & model.
Yes my robot is IRB1400H S4C M2000.
My question is about LIM1 and LIM2 always at 0 state in the controller. I have find jumper in the XP18 connector to make loop to close 361-369 and 362-370.
Therefore no external hardware on the robot. The connector (DSQC509) X1 3-4 and X2 3-4 are jumped.
I don't understand why the LIM1 and LIM2 are always at 0 state ?
Because the switches that are not present are, of course, off.
No external switch all cable are jumped.
Why the LIM1 and LIM2 are 0 state ? He should be in 1 ?
Great job with the pics.
Need to jumper the external axis limit switches if they're not being used.
Panel Unit X1:11-to-12 and X2:11-to-12
If you follow along in the M2000 controller circuit diagrams, it's page 4-1, location C:2.
Thank you !!!
My fault I used as reference my manual of M97A...
