How to change or orient the tool CS (coordinate system) direction on a Kuka robot?
Kuka KR500L420/1 - Kuka KR500L420 H C2 FLR ZH500
VKR C2
KSS 4.1.4 SPO1
The manual indicates the tool CS can be changed but I cannot find out how to do so.
Specifically would like to point along Z (not X).
Doing this because SprutCam seems to expect the tool CS in the Z direction.
Or that is, attempting to orient or align real-robot and SprutCam accurately.
It is possible and how would I change the tool CS direction on a Kuka robot?
Or am I misunderstanding SprutCam's manual?
"SprutCam User Manual = As the first step perform the calibration of the tool coordinate system on the real robot following the instructions from the robot's manual. Ensure the positive Z axis of the tool CS looks down the direction of the tool overhang after the calibration."
