Hi every one.
I have an application that the robot pick material from the extruder. The robot must synchronize the speed with the speed of extractor but is not possible. I was told that there is an application where the robot motors are released and the extractor pushes the robot. Do you know if there is such an application or command and how do I use it?
The robot is IRB4600 Foundry
Thanks in advance.

You can use Soft servo which makes it compliant like a spring. However, don't expect to move the robot a large distance, or you will get errors.

Hi,
the softmove option will solve your problem. Especially designed for these kind of applications.

Softmove is an extra option or standard? I need to pay for it?
-
Yes, it's a paid option.
SoftServo is standard but as the name implies it's by axis only and requires a lot more tinkering to get it to work (if at all).
SoftMove is linear and better suited for the application. Then again... softservo was used for many years for extraction applications when there was no softmove, so try SoftServo first, if you can't get it to work satisfactory then upgrade to SoftMove.

How can I install the SoftMove function in Robotstudio for testing the function? Not in real robot, just in RS for simulate the commands.

Go to the installation manager and modify the system, you can add the option. Note, you may have to use a virtual keystring to do so, or just create a new system same as yours with that option.

You can give me more detailed instructions. I tried but did not find out which library I would approve the application. Thanks -
In robotstudio, go to the controller tab, see installation manager button at the top. Select installation manager for 6.x robotware, system builder for older sytems. F1 key for robotstudio manual.

While you can install the option in RS and you can use it's instructions, I don't think there's any way of "testing" it since you're relying on physical counter forces for it's functionality.

You can decide to pay something after this Trial
Use Softact command u can find more info inside the rapid instruction
