Had a power outage while not in production . Upon starting cycle on the cell the first waterjet cut was 2.5 inches low in Z. This resulted in a collision. Batteries in robot base should be good. Could a bad brake cause drift down and loss of rev counters? It appears axis 3 had drifted down off of the witness marks but no calibration data had changed from current to a previous backup. To fix this we put axis 3 at level and updated rev counters. Has anyone ever seen a lost of position reference during a power outage with good batteries? These are irb 2400 M200 with S4CPLUS controllers.

Hi
During robot motion if power cut happens and brakes are not new in those case I had observed this problem.
But during power on robot cross checks position data with controller data & in case of difference will ask for revolution update.Regards

This seems to make sense.....the brakes are anything but new. Thank you.

Hi
If brake are new, pls cross check if water or humidity has gone to motor.
