Just to ask you a simple question for those who have already made these kinds of connections.
At the moment I am doing an integration of a Robot (IRB 2600ID-8 / 2.00 with an IRC5 Single Cabinet Controller) and a simple cell made by us.
I have the manuals and I have already programmed robots before, but I had never connected security components to an ABB robot.
My question is, to connect the different types of security components exactly which terminals (X5-X6) should I use?
I understand that the manual tells me that the terminals:
X5.9 and X5.11 are for AS1 (automatic stop)
X5.8 and X5.10 are for GS1 (general stop)
X6.2 and X6.4 are for SS1 (safety stop)
I just want to be sure that I'm on the right track and maybe you can explain the difference (real life) between AS, GS and SS.
