Hey Everyone,
I am responsible for prepping and packing up a Kuka KR 500 arm for shipment. I am looking for suggestions on how best to keep the arm safe and minimal risk of damage. Please forgive my lack of knowledge.
My plan as of right now is to turn the arm on and, in test mode 1, jog the arm to the squatting position. I am planning to put hard form blocks between the joints so that the arm rests on the block rather than the breaks (I found this idea on this forum). I think after the arm is in position I am going to wrap it in heavy moving blanks and secure them around the entire arm. If the arm is then bolted to a pallet will this be enough to protect it?
Is there a better way to prep the arm? Am I missing a key step here?
Thanks in advance,
Matthew
