These days, I want to build a service platform based on KUKA iiwa 14 R820. From the service platform, we can control the KUKA iiwa 14 R820 by simply clicking one button in the Web (such as MOVEJ MOVEL). The angle of each axis can also be displayed in the Web. Thus, the key problem is to realize communication between PC with KUKA iiwa using MyEclipse. The existing method is to use KUKA sunrise to communicate with KUKA iiwa. I do not know it is possible to control KUKA iiwa using MyEclipse. Is there any tutorial about this please? Many thanks in advance.
How to communicate with KUKA iiwa 14 R820 without using KUKA sunrise

The service platform is based on browse/service. Is there anybody tried this and any tutorial about this please?

Based on what i can see, MyEclipse is simply an IDE allowing development of applications using Java. It is not some ready to use communication or HMI product, it only allows tools needed to make one. there is TONS of tutorials on the web about just about anything. did you try searching?

Many thanks for your answers. Thus, based on your understanding, it is possible to use MyEclipse to remote control KUKA iiwa. I will search for it. Many thanks again.

I have found a file named "KUKA_SunriseOS_111_SI_en.pdf", it seems that it is based on KUKA sunrise using JAVA. Based on my understanding, it can be also used for coding in MyEclipse, is that right, please?

Hello, you can try to do a tcp or udp communication between your iiwa and your app.

There's no tool I know of that allows you to control the LBR iiwa via an HMI (If the smartPad doesn't count). If you want to do that, you have to create a whole back-end program in your Robot that listens to controls coming from an external machine via one of the supported communication protocol (UDP, TCP, EtherCat, etc.), and create an HMI with any other programmming language like Java, C#, C++, Python, etc. The IDE isn't that important from the front end.

Afaik there is a way to communicate with the robot without sunrise. But therefor you need the FRI ([afaik] fast robot interface) option package, but this is all I know about that

Afaik there is a way to communicate with the robot without sunrise. But therefor you need the FRI ([afaik] fast robot interface) option package, but this is all I know about thatTechnically, FRI still uses Sunrise. It seems like the Robot is being controlled by PC directly bypassing Sunrise, but it actually go through it.
FRI is only an interface to connect external control system to the Sunrise control system in real-time, so you can control the robot on real-time command.Let's say,
Robot - SmartPhone
Sunrise - Android OS
you can make your own app and manipulate your HW, but you can not do it without OS unless you can make your own OS.
