Hello guys,
I wanted to know how can i call a macro inside a macro job using the teach pendant since you can do this on the notepad editor but i don't see the macro button on the inform list when i am in the macro job list.
some of my macro jobs are not being uploaded it gives and error so I need to add them through the teach pendant. Also i had a thought of commenting that macro line and then removing the comment when the program is loaded on the robot controller, but it wont let me do that also. any help will be appreciated. Thanks alot!

Through the pendant you can't. The macro job is a child, never a parent. Only way is through a text editor.

Ah ok, but do you know of any reason why would it give me syntax error on some of the macro jobs when i try to upload them. I have setup the Macro Inst. file also. but i dont get it why it wont upload. it says there is an syntax error in the line but i dont find any error, the macro job that has been called in that line also exists on the Macro Inst.
Also any idea if you have a possibility to uncomment a line in the teach pendant?
Much appreciated!
Thanks alot -
Not knowing what the error says, since we are on a macro job topic. My first thought would be something related to a local variable. The job could be written using locals off-line but not reserved in the header.
Uncommenting: Don't know what controller. YRC1000/DX200, on the instruction side of the job, under EDIT is Comment Out CLR (ALL) or you can just do a single line or consecutive lines. All will do all in the job.
Older than DX200. Remove apostrophe off-line and reload.

If you couldn't load macro jobs maybe there are some option instruction in the macro job and that instruction isn't active on your controller. Other reason is in control group. Maybe you are in R1 group but macros are in R1+S1 group. It can have other reason too.
