Does the argument PrePDisp not displace the second search point aswell? I'm in a situation where the first taught point is displacing properly but the second point does not and my search path has changed enough to contact the part early and give me a inaccurate reading. I've noticed at times that my search paths seemed a little off when I knew I taught them straight. :icon_confused:

Which controller/instruction? I'm not familiar with a PrepDisp argument - is it part of a Search instruction?

Yes its a search argument. It activates a displacement pose for your search. It only seems to displace the first taught search point and not the second, changing the path of my search. It adds the previous search pose to the current search pose as well.

Make sure your searches are in just one axis (x or y or z) and the function will update just that axis for the searches, and add them together as it goes through them. If more than one axis is changed with the search, it could be subtracting from one axis while adding to the next.

Thanks, I just ended up reteaching the search and it functioned properly after that.
