new to robotic wiring. I have an R-J3iB controller and I am trying to connect field I/O wires to the robot but see no where land my wires. inside of the controller cabinet there is a Fanuc BIF04A1 module but I have no idea how it functions. I think that is where I land the field I/O wires. just don't know what is an input or an output. where do I connect light curtains. nothing in the cabinet. I could use your advise.

I was not able to find the BIF04A1 part listed on Fanuc's parts list. But I am sure this is just a Model B rack. You will need to purchase the input and output cards to attach to this rack to have your field wires connected.
BID16A1 is a 16 bit DC input card.
BOD16A1 is a 16 bit DC output card.If these are not present you will need to purchase them.
Your light curtains should wire into the ESTOP board between EAS11 and EAS1 and between EAS21 and EAS2. This is the robot fence circuit. If you have a B cabinet this is located on the door. Should be terminals 5,6,7 and 8.
