SBM2 is an optional device... It is needed when axis must be disabled by safety circuit, for example if operator is approaching turntable.
if more than one external axis is powered from same KPS600, then all of those axes must have the same option. this means either all of them will need to have SBM2 or ... none of them.
regardless if using SBM2 or not, external axis motors need brake released in order to move. brake release requires brake control channel which must be wired and correctly configured in MADA.
when not using SBM2, brakes are controlled by one of channels of KPS600.
positioning commands are used to send axis to specific position. if the goal is to keep turning external axis (without stopping etc) you can use jog.
