Hello Dears
I have this Error?
how can i solve it?
can you give me a83 manuale?
I'd be very surprised if you could obtaining any spares/documentation for those models now........Must be in excess of 25 years old......
- I think they pre-date .pdf, and I can only ever recollect manuals being available in a hard copy format (BIG CHUNKY Folder).
- Unfortunately, I do not have either...........
But from experience, I think this is usually down to 9ZA board failing/on board batteries, data corruption
- but cannot remember exact procedure to replace, but I think it consists of new 9ZA, EEPROM Swap and reload of software, Zeroing etc.
You are my only hope.
Please let me know how can i replace eprom software
Its so force for me.
For Eprom software, you need the software, an eprom eraser/programmer in order to re-write the data.
- No idea where you would get these from now......
I will not accept any liability if the following is incorrect, as this is from memory.........so do at own risk....
To replace 9ZA with a replacement, I think procedure is something like or a variation of:
1. Make full file save, have full file save available on floppy - I think if you select option 1 FD SAVE this will allow (providing no data corruption exist in rom/ram).
2. Power off, remove 9ZA.
3. Set replacement 9ZA board jumpers/switches to match old 9ZA.
4. Remove Eproms from old 9ZA and fit into replacement 9ZA.
5. Insert 9ZA and power on.
6. You should be prompted to initialize.
7. Switch the bottom dip switch back, on the 9ZA (I think SW3 no.8)
8. Controller should boot up.
9. Use AUX 11 to load all the data from the floppy.
- If requested use a FORCED LOAD and answer yes to any/all questions.
From then may need to re-zero and check/verify system is back to operation.
*** set SW3 no.8 back to off when finished.
Good luck...........
Thank you so so so much
I dont have any replacement.
Im electronic man and i have a lot of device for chip programing.
Is it posible to find eeprom program?
From memory, it is very rare for eprom to fail.
- The fact an 'error' is being displayed, suggests to me that the eproms are possibly ok.
- But you would need to contact KHI direct for any software like that......and I would be surprised if they have any due to the age and support being limited/unavailable now.
- In the past, I just replaced the 9ZA which resolved the problem and never diagnosed to component level......but I would speculate the ram chips may have exceeded there read/write capability.
- But it could also be attributed to other damaged components.......so from an electronics perspective - a very tough job to identify the source of the problem on the board.
I have seen 'many' 9ZA boards available on ebay.
- I would try and negotiate a 'sale or return' deal with a seller and obtain one and carry out the eprom exchange to see if it will fix.
thank you so much
this robot was ok.
but It was off for 2 years and fist time when I turn it on I had battery error too.
I'm trying to solve it
Please let me know if you find a solution.
In that case could be a problem then........I assume you've replaced the batteries?.
Maybe worthwhile trying to initialise and reloading a file save then and see if you're lucky............
- Otherwise, you would need to obtain some software.
If I come across anything further, I'll post
dear kwakisaki
I solved the problem.
Thanks again for your attention.
I Initialize the system and re-program it again.
