Trying to help a customer. I have a background in industrial control systems but not robotics specifically.
They have a tubing bender using a Kuka robot and their KCP2 screen intermittently will have a garbled or blank rectangle appear in the lower right corner, and occasionally the screen completely blanks. They bought an eBay replacement but tell me it doesn't do anything when connected. The KCP X19 connector on their original has all pins populated, while the "eBay special" lacks pins 11-14/C/D. I found a KRC manual suggesting these pins are for CI3 Tech board usage, though I see on the customer's drawing it only says "CI-Board ESC 3.0 Extended" and also "CI board, standard".
- Must we find a KCP2 unit with all X19 pins? How can we tell (i.e. part number etc) without having to look at the X19 connector?
- Is the screen replaceable on a KCP2?
- I have searched here and found suggestions that a stop-gap to a bad KCP2 screen might be plugging an external VGA monitor into the KVGA card. Is there anything more to this before I suggest it?
Let me know if there's something more I need to add. I appreciate any direction!
