Hi,
I am in the process of retrofitting the electronics on a Motoman K6SB robot and I have a question,
I am trying to replace the encoders from the proprietary Yaskawa Encoder to a more servo amp friendly encoder, I am lead to believe that the encoders are not true absolute encoders rather they are incremental with battery backup. If this is the case can I just wire up a incremental encoder with battery backup and be on my way?
